Happy Thursday everyone!! The new Metromix hit newsstands this morning...pick one up all you Nap-towners for the best things to do in Indy this weekend!

I love Labor Day weekend...for multiple reasons. One...LONG WEEKEND!! Which also translates to mean short work week next week! holla!! Two...my birthday is Saturday!! That's reason enough to celebrate!

Dog Expo
Monday, September 6
You have the day off of work--and there's no better way to spend it than with man's best friend. Pamper your pooch at the Dog Expo in Carmel. He/she an take a refreshing swim in the Monon Community Center's pool, open just for Fido and Rover. Need to get your dog caught up on vaccinations? You can do that here too, for a low cost.

Family Football Fun Day
Saturday, September 4
There's no time like the present to begin your child's quest for athletic glory. After all, Tiger Woods was hitting golf balls at the ripe age of 2...wait...is he even a good example anymore? If you think you have a future quarterback on your hands, come out to the Family Football Fun Day sponsored by USA Football. Start their training early and then ejoy a picnic lunch and a free tour of the NCAA Hall of Champions.

Labor Day Street Fair

This Broad Ripple party will again make you wish you didn't have to get up and go t owork the next day. Hear music by Clifford Ratliff, Bill Lancton and Rob Dixon; sample food from Yats and the Jazz Kitchen; and toast America's work ethic.

3D at Dean Johnson
starting Friday, September 3
Located in the heart of Mass Ave, Dean Johnson Design is a one-stop shop for all things art and design. Not only are they experts in branding and creativity, their office doubles as an art gallery. This month's exhibit features furniture, sculpture and installation art by four worth-knowing-about Central Indiana artists: Lesley Baker, Cory Robinson, Gustavo Tover and Ben Valentine.
